Difficulty reflects the 2027 audition route: regional one-day clinics, video auditions, and a SoCal weekend callback. Cost compares the published $6,750 program fee with the organization’s stated $12,049 per-student operating cost; the fee covers the national tour, housing, meals, bus transportation, instruction, equipment and uniform items. Extra personal costs remain, including travel home from Championships, some personal gear, and recommended spending money. The 2027 SoCal weekend audition fee is $165 by November 29 or $190 after; video audition review is $60. Rank reflects 13th place and 86.663 at the August 7, 2026 World Class Semifinals. Pacific Crest’s history begins in 1993, when a small group of 33 students formed the first corps. The organization’s 2019 tour program presents that starting scale alongside later milestones, including the first trip outside California in 2000 and the first DCI World Championship Semifinals appearance in 2003. Those steps reveal an organization learning to expand gradually: first build a local membership and staff, then make longer trips, and eventually carry the ensemble into the national championship schedule. Pacific Crest’s current materials continue to describe it as Southern California’s World Class corps and as one part of a youth arts organization. Based in City of Industry, California.
